A good dog training video is as important as a leash and collar in training a dog. We carry specialty videos such as the Ivan Balabanov Schutzhund dog training video series which consists of two tapes. We also offer the Joanne Plumb dog training video series which consists of two tracking tapes and two obedience tapes. Both Ivan and Joanne use similar dog training methods in obedience.
In Ivan Balabanov's dog training video series, a strong emphasis is placed on teaching the dog self control to minimize correction,achieve precision through motivation and signaled non-reward as well as how to respond to cues in an instant which have been isolated to verbal cues alone. Distraction training is taught in this production using Clear Communication as the basis for guiding the dog through obedience training. When to raise criterion and achieving fluency with behaviors is discussed so that each trainer knows when to progress to the next level with their dog. An emphasis is placed on comprehension of skills rather than simply training behaviors.
In the Joanne Plumb dog training video series, she demonstrates inducive techniques to teach your dog or puppy to be a willing, active learner; to develop active, dynamic attention; to teach constructive play and drive containment; and to create eager performance of sit, down, heel, come-fore, and recall. She also demonstrates how to teach your dog or puppy precise gymnastic skills; to teach the finish and true attention; to fade prompts from inducive commands and wean from food; to teach your dog to respond positively to correction; to develop correct, spirited heeling through collection. This video series is excellent for Schutzhund and Kennel Club Obedience.
